Microsoft is seeking highly motivated university students to join its global engineering squads as a Software Engineering Intern. In this role, you will work on real-world projects, building next-generation software solutions that impact millions of users worldwide. As an individual contributor within a collaborative team environment, you will apply core engineering principles to solve complex technical problems, gather and evaluate user requirements for product features, and adopt new development tools and agile methodologies. This internship serves as a prime talent pipeline for full-time software engineering roles within Microsoft's global cloud and application ecosystems.

Requirements:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative technical field. Must have at least one semester or term remaining in their academic program following the completion of this internship.
• Minimum of one year of hands-on programming experience utilizing an object-oriented language (such as C++, Java, C#, or Python).
• A solid, demonstrable understanding of fundamental computer science concepts, specifically data structures, algorithms, and computational complexity analysis.
• Ability to quickly learn new software engineering methods, tools, and system processes, integrating them into daily workflows.
• Strong time management skills with a proven ability to complete technical projects within a cooperative, team-focused environment. Proactively seeks and incorporates peer code reviews and architectural feedback.
• Ability to travel less than 25% if required by specific team workshops or cross-site project alignments.
